Reheating and caring for tiffins

tiffin in fridge

At Haricoco, we want your meals to taste just as good at home as when they leave our kitchen, and we want our tiffins to live a long, happy life too. Here’s how to get the best out of both.

Reheating your meal

Our tiffins are wonderfully versatile

The general golden rule

Most of our saucy, stew-style dishes reheat perfectly in the oven.

Pop them in at 180°C for 25–35 minutes, slow and steady is best.

Extra tips

Rice, noodles, pasta & other grains

Add 2 tablespoons of water before reheating so they stay fluffy and don’t stick.

Dumplings & baozi

Same trick: 2 tablespoons of water keeps them soft and delicious.

In the oven

Line up the compartments next to each other, cover with a small square of reusable foil, and let the oven do its magic.

Please don’t use the lid in the oven, stainless steel expands with heat and the lid will get stuck (we’ve added our sticker on top as a reminder).

Please know that each delivery comes with reheating suggestions and ideas for extras you could add in. But honestly, they’re tasty just as they are too!

Caring for your tiffins

Our tiffins are built to last, and with a little care they’ll keep traveling from our kitchen to yours and back again, season after season.

Dishwasher-safe

The clipping system on the bottom compartment is fixed, so please don’t try to remove it. With a little puzzle-solving, the tiffins fit just fine into a regular dishwasher (and oven).

Handwashing

If you prefer, simply use a soft sponge or cloth. No scratchy materials, please. They deserve gentle care.

Community spirit

By treating your tiffin with care, you’re helping us keep this beautiful cycle of reuse alive. Each one returns to us ready for another journey, just as fresh and clean as you’d hope to receive it yourself.
